One of the most famous of the Arabian Nights tales. Ali Baba, poor woodcutter, stumbles upon a band of robbers, who open the door to a hidden cave using the magic words, "Open, sesame!." When Ali Baba, after the robbers have gone, uses the magic words to open the door of the cave, he finds the cave filled with gold and jewels. What happens after this, events of intrigue, horror, sadness, and triumph -- is the subject of this fanciful history

Bob Gonzalez recites the numbers of π to 314 decimal places in 3 minutes and 14 seconds. The recitation is accompanied by The Melody of Pi , a musical composition where each of the 315 numbers of Pi sounds a note corresponding to the C Major scale (all played on the white keys). The numbers 1-8 designate the notes C, D, E, F, G, A, B, and C (an octave above the first C). 0=B below the first C and 9=D above the higher C. The melody is not sychronized with each successive number but is played in...

Sixty poetic monologues from Edgar Lee Masters signature masterpiece. Following the opener "The Hill," each poetic monologue is an epitaph of a dead citizen, delivered by the dead themselves. Some recite their histories and turning points, others make observations of life from the outside, petty ones complain of the treatment of their graves, and a few tell how they really died. Speaking without reason to lie or fear the consequences, they construct a picture of life in their town...
